Batteries that charge thru usb

Hi, i recieved this mail recently and felt its worthwhile being shared
Chk this out !!!

love innovation - who doesn't? That said, my tastes lie specifically in the kind which make my life simpler and easier. We're talking email over post, wireless over wired, LCD over CRT and potentially now 'USBCELL' batteries over your traditional AAs.
Released as a teaser to the IT press over a week ago with the tagline 'Time to recharge the battery market', the details are finally out and they are oh so logical yet very cool.
Produced by Moixa Energy, USBCELL batteries are simply batteries that recharge from any USB port. They require no separate recharging devices, cradles or cables and can be used exactly like a normal battery. The design itself is rather like a typical memory stick with its flip top lid and they could be set to deliver the same killer blow to the battery market that memory sticks did to floppy discs.
At this stage the one unknown is how well they perform when compared to their established counterparts and how long they take to charge. The new wave is coming however and though they launch in the familiar AA they will soon comprise a full range of standard formats including phone and camera batteries and come with C & D size converters.

Available now and costing just £12.99 for two AA USBCELL batteries (including VAT and delivery from the company's website) I'm forced to say something I never thought would pass my lips: I'm quite excited about batteries :S

Update:
USBCELL batteries have a capacity of 1300mAH which is in line with most NiCd and NiMH batteries though some do go all the way up to 2500mAH. It takes five hours to charge a completely flat battery and an LED on the side will light up to indicate charging, flash for 10 minutes after charging is complete as an alert and switch off after that.

schumacher quits racing at high crescendo

Seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher will announce at this weekend's Italian Grand Prix that he is retiring at the end of the season, Germany's top-selling Bild newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The 37-year-old Schumacher will announce that he will complete the season by racing in Shanghai, Suzuka and Sao Paulo before hanging up his helmet and overalls.

Bild said the most dominant Formula One driver of the past decade would not comment on his future before the race at Monza.

His manager Willi Weber said: "Until then we have nothing to say." Schumacher hinted at an imminent announcement when he said during a Ferrari function in Germany that "we've fixed everything for Monza."

"All I can do is ask everyone to understand that I don't want to touch on that subject until next Sunday," he added. Schumacher's contract with Ferrari ends this season, but it has indicated it is prepared to offer him a new one if he wants to continue driving.

The German trails reigning world champion Fernando Alonso by 12 points heading into the Italian Grand Prix and Renault are two points ahead of Ferrari in the team standings.

i start penning my thoughts with this quote to bring in a positive thought about life.. before i go ahead.

no one is perfect!! so is everyone s life!!.. believe me there s always a better we must be looking ahead to compromising with the present life and also giving our best and ardent efforts to reach our goals.never be diheartened if u dont get what u desire at times, bcoz there is always someting better waiting for us.

These words are no pep talk nor are inspired by reading stephen covey and other motivators. I have personally experienced and am today in a postion to post this.

every individuals life has ups and downs.. and its during the times when we are low we must not quit, we muat not give up. I have been a placement represnetative in my engg life and have seen people supposed tobe afficionados in their field fail miserably and get embarasser. but it was people who took the failure to be challange and beat it down to get placed in beeter than those had visited my college for campus recuitments.

so from now on i shall i write my personal experiences along with great exemplary real life stories.. which will help US(both u n me) to change our lives and reach our goals. I hope people who go thru this blog to comment on my writings and help me improve. Also i will be very glad and thankful if someone can add up to each post.
so keep running thru this blog as frequently as possible.
hope to see you soon..

ciao
